VETERANS

Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division’s Veteran Integration Program hosted a veteran speed mentoring event May 15. Eleven mentors and 11 mentees had the opportunity to network and discuss prior service, goals and advice for their careers.

Veterans are a highly valued part of our workforce, and paramount to the mission we serve every day.  NSWCDD has countless opportunities for candidates with backgrounds across the spectrum of both technology and business.  We are committed to reintegrating veterans from all services into our organization.  Working here at NSWCDD requires the same qualities you earned in the service: leadership, management, and technical skills.

Once aboard NSWCDD, there are a number of additional resources available to support your transition from the military to civilian life.  We care about your continued development and career growth and offer informal networking opportunities and formal mentoring partnerships through our vibrant Veteran Integration (VI) program.  VI hosts frequent Veteran-centric events and links recently hired Veterans with experienced Veteran employees at NSWCDD, to establish strong, supportive mentoring partnerships and to set you up for success.  NSWCDD also offers a professional development coaching program for all employees at any stage in their careers.  We can all use a coach in our corner.

Veterans and other professionals fulfill our immediate mission demands and ensure long-term organizational viability.  NSWCDD Leadership values diversity and inclusion by all workforce members and has non-competitive hiring programs to provide career opportunities to qualified veterans.
