NAVSEA apprenticeship programs offer outstanding opportunities across the country for men and women to earn while they learn.

As a NAVSEA apprentice, you will combine tuition-free college-level classes in academics and trade theory with hands-on training to prepare you for a rewarding career in one of many skilled trades. You will work side by side with journeymen and women who teach and mentor you along the way.

NAVSEA apprentices earn a good hourly wage and enjoy the perks of NAVSEA’s robust federal government benefits package, including annual leave, federal holidays, health insurance, life insurance and a retirement plan.

Apprenticeship programs are offered at each of NAVSEA’s four naval shipyards. The type of trades and length of programs vary by location. Learn more on the pages below.
