Our mission is to conduct research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) and in-service support of the following core mission areas:

  • Mine Warfare Systems
  • Naval Special Warfare Systems
  • Diving and Life Support Systems
  • Amphibious/Expeditionary Maneuver Warfare Systems
  • Other missions that occur in the littoral, or coastal, regions

 

 
NSWC PCD proudly supports the Program Executive Office Littoral Ship (PEO LCS) Mine Countermeasure Mission Package for the U.S. Navy.

The MK-29 Initial Response Diving project is the latest example of rapid prototyping using 3D laser scanning and 3D printing for test and evaluation purposes in support of our Fleet customers.

NSWC PCD is home to LCAC 66 and 91 - two Landing Craft Air Cushions used for Fleet modernization and future LCAC fleet testing. NSWC PCD proudly supports NAVSEA's next generation LCAC called the Ship to Shore Connector.
