Housing and Amenities
 

NNPTC Bachelor Enlisted Quarters

NNPTC provides more than 2,200 barracks rooms across six buildings for incoming nuclear power school students. These semiprivate rooms are equipped with microwaves and refrigerators and joined by a common bath. Each barracks building also provides a lounge equipped with TVs, recliners, board games, and Naval reading material.
 

On-Base Housing*

Naval Weapons Station Charleston has over 1800 enlisted family housing units and 150 officer family housing units. NWS Charleston Housing Office hours are 0730 to 1600.

*Enlisted student personnel married prior to service may request to reside in on base housing upon arrival at NNPTC.

 

Temporary Lodging

There is currently no Navy Lodge in the area. However, the Inns of Charleston, located on the Charleston Air Force Base, offers temporary lodging for transient personnel.

Base Amenities

Naval Nuclear Power Training Command is located on 226 acres in Goose Creek, SC. We provide our Sailors with access to a liberty lounge equipped with computers, Wi-Fi, movie theater, gaming stations, free video game and movie rentals, and ping pong and pool tables. We also provide multiple avenues for your Sailor to achieve their fitness goals with a dedicated weight room, cardio room, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, volleyball courts, soccer field, tennis courts, obstacle course, and outdoor track. We are also home to an on-site galley (dining hall) that serves three meals a day averaging 19,600 meals served per week. Additionally, Sailors have access to countless other amenities provided by Joint Base Charleston!
