New Employee Guide

Before Receiving Your Computer Access Card (CAC)

  • Acquire temporary badge at the Naval Supply Activity (NSA) Pass & ID Office (Main Gate)

    • Take with you your license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance

  • Complete New Employee orientation with NSLC Workforce Manager

    • Submit request via Workforce Manager to NSA Pass & ID Office for new employee CAC card

    • Submit completed W-4 and Direct Deposit form (SF-1199A) to NSLC Finance Dept, Code 011          

    • Establish work schedule IAW NAVSEALOGCENINST 12620 HOURS OF WORK May 07

    • On-base parking (park only in unmarked spaces), map provided

    • Off-hours access to building, emergency exits, restrooms, tour of facility

    • Review inclement weather policy. Base Closure Telephone Line: 717-605-2000

    • Review Base Map/Amenities (ITT, Fitness Center, Exchange, Credit Union), map provided

    • Telephone/fax procedures, DSN number(s), telephone directory, and Video Teleconference (VTC) procedures

  • Register for Naval Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) at website

  • Register for MyPay
    https://mypay.dfas.mil/mypay.aspx  to track pay, tax statements, and pay data items     

  • Register for Standard Labor Data Collection and Distribution Application (SLDCADA) access with Finance Dept, Code 011 (x2937)
  • Register for employee benefits on DoN Civilian Human Resources website

    • Employee Benefits Information System (EBIS)

  • Register for performance appraisals at Defense Civilian Personnel Data Systems (DCPDS) website

  • Learn about Command History, Mission & Vision, Customers, Goals, Organizational Structure/Chart

  • Apply for CAC Card (PKI User Request Form, Classified Information Disclosure Agreement [SF-312] SAAR, and U

After Receiving Your Computer Access Card (CAC)

  • Review DoN acquisition career portal (eDACM)

    • Register for mandated DAWIA training at Defense Acquisition University (DAU) website:

    • Career field certification (if in DAWIA) position

    • Register for Acquisition Workforce Tuition Assistance Program (AWTAP), if planning to complete Master’s Degree (funded by NACC)

  • Complete mandated annual training

    • Prevention of Sexual Assault (POSH)

    • Information Assurance (IA)

  • Apply for Govt Travel Card (GTC) with Procurement Technician, Code 021 at NSLC, Indian Head Detachment (DSN: 88-354-6164)

  • Register for Defense Travel System (DTS) with NSLC Finance Dept, Code 011 (x3812)

  • Register for Naval Sea Logistics Center (NSLC) intranet access
