Visitor’s Center


The NSA Crane Visitor’s Center is located at 

103 Furlong Street Crane, IN 47522

  and can reached by telephone at (812) 854-1213. Visitors are required to check-in at the Visitor’s Center for a badge. Required forms of identification are detailed below.

ONE required from this list:

·         U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card

·         Employment Authorization Document containing photo (Form 1-766)

TWO required from the lists below (one from each):

·         Valid Driver’s License (State-issued)

·         School ID w/photo

·         ID card issued by federal, state or local government agencies

·         Voter’s registration card

·         U.S. Military Card

·         Military dependent’s ID card

 

AND

·         Social Security Card

·         Certification of Birth (Department of State-issued)

·         Certificate of Birth (issued by State, County, municipal or territory of U.S.)

·         U.S. Citizen ID Card

·         Employment authorization document (issued by Department of Homeland Security)

 

 

* Persons under age 18 can provide school, doctor, hospital or day-care record

 

 

Required Forms for Driving on Base

 

 

ALL three required:

·         Valid Driver’s License (State-issued)

·         Proof of Insurance

·         Proof of Registration

 

 

Rental vehicles: drivers MUST be listed as drivers on rental agreement

 

 

* Visitors will NOT be permitted to drive on NSA Crane without all three documents

 

 

Indianapolis Airport to NSA Crane (approx. 90 miles, 1hr 45mins).

  • From the airport follow the signs to I-465 S.
  • Take I-465 S approximately 7 miles to IN-37 S.
  • Take IN-37 S approximately 43 miles to IN-45 S.
  • Keep left to continue on I-69, follow signs for Evansville.
  • Travel 27 miles and taken Exit 87 toward US-231 S.
  • Turn left onto US-231 for 1.2 miles.
  • Turn left on IN-558 E.
  • Follow IN-558 E approximately 1 mile.

From East (Columbus, IN) 

  • Head south on I65 for approximately 20 miles.
  • Take ramp to IN-11 S, Turn right on IN-258 to Community Drive.
  • Turn right on US-50 W and travel approximately 30 miles.
  • Take IN-37 N for approximately 2 miles and turn left onto IN-58 W.
  • Follow IN-58 for approximately 5 miles, turn left at junction to continue on IN-58.
  • Travel approximately 17 miles to US-231.
  • Turn left onto US-231 S for 1 mile then turn left on IN-558 E.

From West (Terre Haute, IN)

 

  • Head east on I70 towards Indianapolis.
  • US 41 SOUTH TO IN-54 (Linton)
  • IN-54 E to US-231 S.
  • US-231 S for 1 mile then turn left on IN-558 E.

From North (Indianapolis, IN)

  • Head south on IN-37 S/S Harding Street toward W Thompson Road.
  • Continue to follow IN-37 S approximately 45 miles.
  • Keep left to continue on I-69, follow signs for Evansville.
  • Travel 27 miles and taken Exit 87 toward US-231 S.
  • Turn left onto US-231 for 1.2 miles.
  • Turn left on IN-558 E.
  • Follow IN-558 E approximately 1 mile.

From South (Evansville, IN)

 

  • Head north on I69 for approximately 90 miles.
  • Exit off US-231 S, travel approximately 2 miles.
