NSWCDD Leadership is committed to developing all employees to build a future workforce that maintains mission readiness of the future Navy through strategic planning, hiring and development. 

On-Site Training:  Classes are provided in a range of subjects, including but not limited to; Technical, Scientific, Engineering, Acquisition and Logistics, Information Technology, Finance, and Project Management.  Personal and professional development is promoted to ensure that every employee can find training opportunities that pique their interest and advance career goals.

Off-Site Training: Opportunities for conference attendance and short course training classes are also offered, in addition to a range of Academics and Leadership courses.  Workforce Development provides support for NSWCDD employees in achieving and maintaining DAWIA certification, cultivating mentoring relationships, Individual Development Plans (IDP), and staying up-to-date with mandatory training.
