Forward Deployed Regional Maintenance Center (FDRMC) Detachment Rota was established to provide Fleet Support to 4 BMD DDGs homeported in Rota, Spain. Manned with highly specialized technicians and support staff personnel, the detachment provides sustainment, fleet technical assistance and voyage repair of naval ships and craft in the 5th and 6th Fleet AORs. Naval Station Rota is the “Gateway to the Mediterranean” and is located on Base Naval de Rota, a Spanish Naval base on the southwest coast of the beautiful Kingdom of Spain, adjacent to the cities of Rota and El Puerto de Santa Maria.

Unlike many stateside shipyards and regional maintenance centers, FDRMC Rota is a small command with limited billets that enables each employee to test their skills and expand their capabilities.
