FDRMC Naples is a detachment and part of a larger network of ship repair facilities with an emphasis on ship repair work in the Mediterranean and surrounding areas. Because of this, we operate in a more limited capacity than a typical stateside shipyard or regional maintenance center.
Below is a list of codes at FDRMC Naples and general job description within each code:
Code 100C (OPERATIONS CENTER) – Responsible for facilitating information sharing and synchronization for matters of fleet technical assistance between FDRMC and the external maintenance customers.
Code 130 (QUALITY ASSURANCE) – Conducts various inspections, chemical analysis and mechanical testing, quality audits and compliance checks. Also trends quality deficiencies to preempt serious problems and improve processes and programs.
Code 200 (COMBAT SYSTEMS) – Provides Engineering and Technical support to FDRMC project teams, production shops, FDNF ships, and conducts assessments and inspections; performs alterations, repairs, and modernization; and provides technical assistance to ships assigned to SIXTH and FIFTH Fleet via distance or on-board support.
Code 300 (WATERFRONT OPERATIONS) – Ensures the safe, satisfactory, timely, and economical accomplishment of Voyage Repairs in keeping the Fleet operationally ready through management of ship maintenance projects and continuous maintenance.
Code 600 (COMPTROLLER) – Responsible for budget formulation and execution, financial accounting, contract and vendor payment, and civilian pay.
Code 1100 (CORPORATE OPERATIONS) – Responsible for the organization, implementation, and administration of all Administrative Services within FDRMC, including security, civilian & military manpower, trainings, facilities, Information Technology, business operations, and public affairs.
