Housing

Please review your housing options carefully. Houses on Guam are generally smaller than those in the 48 contiguous states. On-base housing is available on a space available basis only. There is no guarantee of base housing. If assigned to base housing, rent will be assessed at a rate similar to that of the local economy. Off-base housing is available for rent or purchase. As with all areas, the quality and size of available housing varies. If you have questions, please contact the Base Housing Office at (671) 333-2081/333-2082, DSN: 333-2087, or access the website at: https://www.housing.navy.mil.

Off-Base Housing

Off base housing is available for employees who cannot or choose not to reside in on-base housing. Rental costs vary, but generally are very expensive. Utility costs also vary significantly, but do tend to be higher than in the 48 contiguous states. Off-Base rentals may or may not provide washers and dryers. If you decide to live off base, you are responsible for all utilities which include making all arrangements for connection as well as disconnection.
