Casey Plew presents Kris Parker with a letter of appreciation on behalf of NSWC Carderock Division Commanding Officer Capt. Cedric McNeal at an awards ceremony. Parker - the NSWC Dahlgren Division deputy for small business - was commended for serving as NSWC Carderock Division's acting deputy for small business for more than six months in 2019.

Dahlgren Sailors and Civilians Celebrate Navy's 244th Birthday

The Navy birthday cake-cutting ceremony is important to all Sailors, as it is an annual renewal of each Sailor's commitment to the Navy and the Navy's commitment to our nation's quest for peace and freedom worldwide. NSWC Philadelphia Division DDG 51-Class Land Based Engineering Site Celebrates 30 Years of Supporting the Fleet

PHILADELPHIA – DDG 51 Land Based Engineering Site (LBES) in 2012. The site has served the fleet for 30 years. LBES will stay in service through the lifespan of the DDG 51-class, which has been expanded to a 45-year service life, continuing to train crews for both new construction and earlier ships undergoing their mid-life upgrades, and to validate machinery system upgrades improving availability and reducing operating costs. British Royal Navy’s Second Sea Lord Visits NSWC Dahlgren Division

Eugene 'Gene' Black, Surface Warfare Division director at the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations - on the Navy's high energy laser technological programs - including ODIN. The admiral was also updated on HELIOS -- High Energy Laser with Integrated Optical-Dazzler and Surveillance - during his NSWCDD tour.
