CDR David Reinhardt

U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility & Japan Regional Maintenance Center

 

CDR Dave Reinhardt is currently assigned to Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center Yokosuka, Japan.

CDR Reinhardt was born and raised in Illinois in the western suburbs of Chicago.  He graduated from Iowa State University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering and commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps as a Surface Warfare Officer.

His first assignment was aboard the USS CROMMELIN (FFG 37) as the Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer and Electrical Officer homeported in Pearl Harbor, HI.  CDR Reinhardt’s second tour was aboard the USS CHUNG-HOON (DDG 93) as the Fire Control Officer also homeported in Pearl Harbor, HI.  He then reported to Commander Seventh Fleet and served as the Deputy Fleet Maintenance Officer and supported the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Cell.  During this tour he lateral transferred to the Engineering Duty Officer (EDO) community after which he reported to U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility Yokosuka, Japan for his EDO qualification tour.  He earned a Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School.  Upon completion of graduate school CDR Reinhardt reported to Norfolk Naval Shipyard where he was assigned as Deputy Project Superintendent on the USS TOLEDO (SSN 769) Engineering Overhaul availability until March 2023.

His personal decorations include the Navy Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (2 Awards), Navy Achievement Medal (2 Awards), and various unit awards.  He is married and has two children.
