NSWCDD Department Head Leads Contracts Team’s Acquisition Support During COVID-19 Pandemic

Throughout his federal civil service career, Busansky resolved a myriad of challenges to acquiring products and services. NSWC Dahlgren Division Employee Responds to Medical Emergencies in Local Community; Abroad

Roland received the NSWCDD Distinguished Community Service Award in 2019 for “outstanding contributions to the community” for participating in the trip as well as serving more than 16 years as an EMT for the Chancellor Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department, which serves parts of Spotsylvania County, Va. “Roland selflessly shares her extensive expertise to help those in the local community and abroad,” cites the award. (June 15, 2017) - Navy scientist Charles Miller and mathematician Jessica Hildebrand perform pre-flight checks on the SCAPEGOAT chemical, biological, and radiological (CBR) detection system. The SCAPEGOAT system - developed by a team of Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division junior scientists and engineers - demonstrates the capability to deploy a modular CBR sensor system aboard multiple unmanned aerial vehicle platforms.

Casey Plew, Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) commanding officer, speaks with Kyle Allwine, director of government affairs for the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, at the annual science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) Summit open to the public at Chancellor High School. “Participating in STEM education is a valuable investment in both your future as well as society’s future,” Plew told students in his keynote speech. “Soak up the awesomeness of all of the different STEM efforts displayed for you.
