Applied math STEM students float their boats

Stephen Mastel, PSNS & IMF STEM outreach coordinator provides in-water support for an eight-grade applied math student from Mountain View Middle School as she paddles her boat during the school’s inaugural cardboard boat race at the Bremerton Family YMCA. Twenty students participated in the event, piloting self-constructed boats made of cardboard and duct tape.

NSWC Crane contributes first open source project to provide warfighters with more advanced systems

Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) scientists and engineers have contributed Crane’s first open source project to provide warfighters with more advanced systems. The contribution to the open source software project was developed to support the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Radio Frequency Machine Learning Systems (RFMLS) program.

Luddy School awards IU's first-ever engineering Ph.D. to NSWC Crane employee

The Department of Intelligent Systems Engineering at the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering awarded its first ever Ph.D. to Adam Duncan, an electrical engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center’s Crane Division located at nearby Crane, Indiana. Duncan’s dissertation focused on securing field-programmable gate arrays against post-synthesis attacks.

Answering the Call to Readiness: NSWC Corona's MAKE Application Becomes One-Stop Shop for Marine Corps Ammo

An information technology team at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Corona Division, has upgraded the MAKE application, a suite of eight software tools to help Marines manage ammunition inventory, acquisition, certifications, safety, logistics, service life and training.
