What school did you attend?
I attended Old Dominion University and earned a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering technology.

How long have you been employed at NSWCDD?
I’ve been employed at NSWCDD for a total of eight years, five years as a contractor and three years as a government employee.

What do you like most about your job?
I love the fact that the work is always evolving. There is always a new puzzle or problem waiting to be solved. I can always count on my co-workers to help generate a steady stream of issues to work through.

What advice do you have for those looking to pursue the engineering career path?
I would tell them not to let their degree lock them into a certain career. They should pursue whatever interests they have and be open to change. You never know where life will take you.

Why did you choose to work for the Navy?
I am a third generation Navy civilian. When I got the chance to go underway on USS Monterey, it made me more aware of the people we serve and why we do what we do.
