The Workforce Recruitment Program for students with disabilities is coordinated by the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) and the Department of Defense (DOD). The WRP is a referral program of college level students with disabilities who are seeking summer or permanent jobs. The candidates are recruited and referred by ODEP and DOD.

Program Highlights

This is a 14 week summer program for college students seeking summer internship opportunities. Annually, trained recruiters for the WRP program conduct personal interviews with more than 1,900 students with disabilities at college and university campuses across the nation.

Once a student is selected, they can begin working at Division Newport as soon as early as May of that school year and must end their work period no later than 30 September.

Eligibility

• Applicants must be a US citizen.

• Applicants must be selected from the ODEP student database.

• Applicants must be able to obtain an interim secret clearance.
