Dahlgren Bio-Detection and Identification Engineer Recognized for Mentoring Others

Swirzinski is one of the many interns Hayden has worked with during her time at NSWCDD. “My greatest satisfaction is to see young people that I have mentored succeed at work,” said Hayden. Hayden is the recipient of the NSWCDD Employee Development Award and is one of 90 individuals and 39 teams to be honored in a special video awards ceremony, to be released on the command’s YouTube page later this month.

(July 12, 2019) – U.S. Naval Academy Midshipman Jonathon Copley and his mentor, Mike Burchik, a Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) scientist, are pictured in front of a U.S. Navy 16-inch battleship gun on the parade field near NSWCDD headquarters during Copley’s summer internship.
