NSWC Crane to build new hypersonics-focused research and development capability

Dr. Brett Seidle (SES), Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development, Test, and Engineering, delivered remarks at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Missile Testing Evaluation Facility held at NSWC Crane Division. Dr. Seidle (SES) was provided with a tour showcasing the base's current milestones and progress. Also speaking at the event were NSWC Crane Division Technical Director Angela Lewis (SES), NSWC Crane Division CAPT Rex Boonyobhas, and Mr. JR Ross (SSTM).

Navy Officials Break Ground for New Cyber Warfare Engineering Laboratory

IMAGE: DAHLGREN, Va. – Artist’s rendering of the Cyber Warfare Engineering Laboratory to be built at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). Navy officials, including NSWCDD leadership, broke ground for the facility Dec. 12. It will bring together the building blocks of existing capabilities into one place to provide a robust and flexible software and hardware testing capability for Department of Defense and Navy weapon systems, cyber and network platforms in addition to industrial control systems supporting DoD infrastructure.

Norfolk Naval Shipyard breaks ground for its new production training facility

Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) held a groundbreaking for its new production training facility July 1, which will consolidate training currently spread across 26 different NNSY locations and eight departments into a single 157,000 square-foot, $64.7 million dollar facility.
