Command Senior Chief Joel Hagstrom, a native of Port Orchard, Wash., enlisted in the Navy in May 2000 as an Aviation Electriciansmate. He attended Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill., followed by AE “A” school in Pensacola, Fla.
Hagstrom’s sea duty assignments include Sea Operational Detachment Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department, San Diego, California; USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), Everett, Wash.; USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), Bremerton, Wash.; and Strike Fighter Squadron One Four Seven, Lemoore, Calif.
His shore assignments include Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Unit Detachment Fallon, Fallon, Nev; Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit San Diego, San Diego, and Fleet Readiness Center Northwest, Whidbey Island, Wash.
Hagstrom is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy, Newport, R.I. (Class 205 Blue) and CMC/COB Capstone Course (Class 22090).
His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and various campaign and operational awards.
He is qualified as an Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist (AW) and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist (SW) and Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist (IW).
