Mid-Atlantic Regional Materials Test Laboratory
Facility
The Mid-Atlantic Regional Materials Laboratory is one of the most modern and complete engineering and science laboratories on the East Coast, specializing in routine and unique analysis and problem solving.
The facilities provide 49,561 square feet of state-of-the-art laboratory space and instrumentation. Services include, but are not limited to, metallurgical and chemical analysis, mechanical and environmental testing, nondestructive inspection, failure analysis, polymeric materials, composite technology, welding and heat treating.
Nondestructive inspection teams perform field service for deployed aircraft around the world. Analytical and technical consultant services are provided to the operating fleet, other commands, government agencies and the private sector.
Staff
Our Professional staff includes materials and chemical engineers, chemists, technicians and administrative specialists. Their levels of education range from bachelor's degrees to master's degrees, with an average of 16 years of experience in their specialties.
We are affiliated with many technical organizations including ASTM, ASM, ASNT, ACS, AVS, SAMPE, STLE, A2LA, NATAS, NVLAP, SAE, MSA, Society of Applied Spectroscopy, and others. The Materials Lab is fully accredited in petroleum testing, metals testing, lead in paint testing, PCB testing and environmental testing.
