Two retired NUWC Division Newport engineers earn DON Meritorious Civilian Service Awards

NEWPORT, R.I. - John Visneuski Jr., who retired from the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport’s Ranges, Engineering and Analysis Department in July 2021 after a 50-year career as an electronics engineer, was presented a Department of the Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award on Dec. 16, 2022. Visneuski Jr. was honored for his work as a technical program manager who led a diverse team of engineers, mathematicians, and scientists to meet current and next-generation undersea warfare fleet requirements of the U.S. Navy.
