Growing up in a Coast Guard family, Cmdr. Jamison R. Fiebrandt lived across the U.S. during his formative years before settling in Parkland, Fla. He graduated from the University of South Florida in 2011, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and commissioning through the Reserve Officers Training Corps.
During afloat assignments, Fiebrandt served as Main Propulsion Division Officer and Damage Control Assistant aboard USS Ramage (DDG 61) where he qualified as a Surface Warfare Officer.
After transferring into the Engineering Duty Officer (EDO) community, Fiebrandt graduated from Naval Post Graduate School in 2017 with a master’s degree in Applied Physics, specializing in combat systems sensors. He then reported to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS) where he qualified as an EDO. While at PSNS, he served as the Key Events and Milestones Supervisor for the USS Maine (SSBD 741) nuclear refueling project; Deputy Project Superintendent for the USS Pittsburgh (SSN 720) defueling and decommissioning; and Deputy Project Superintendent for USS Ronald Reagan’s (CVN 76) forward-deployed Selected Restricted Availability in Yokosuka, Japan. In 2021, Fiebrandt joined Commander, Naval Surface Forces Atlantic as Type Desk Officer and then Type Desk Manager for the Optimized Fleet Response Plan Maintenance Cycle Planning and Execution for all Atlantic Fleet surface combatants.
Most recently, Fiebrandt served as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center Guided Missile Destroyer (DDG) / Guided Missile Cruiser (CG) Division Head (C321) leading 12 teams in the planning and execution of depot-level and intermediate-level availabilities, emergent maintenance periods, modernization efforts, and material readiness of DDGs and CGs.
Fiebrandt assumed the roles and responsibilities as Officer in Charge, Naples Detachment, Forward Deployed Regional Maintenance Center and Operations Officer in June 2025, headquartered in Naples, Italy with detachments in Rota, Spain and Manama, Bahrain. FDRMC provides emergent, intermediate and depot-level maintenance and modernization for transient and Forward Deployed Naval Forces in U.S. Fifth and Sixth Fleets through fleet technical assistance, voyage repair, contract management oversight, assessments, and diving and salvage.
Fiebrandt’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (2 awards), Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various other unit and campaign awards.
