Master Chief Craig Allen was born in Biloxi, Mississippi and raised in Warren, Ohio. He is a graduate of Coastline Community College with an Associate’s degree in Electronics.
He enlisted in the United States Navy in November 2003, and attended basic training in Great Lakes, Illinois. Senior Chief Allen attended Basic Enlisted Submarine School and Fire Control Technician “A” School and in Groton, Connecticut.
Upon completion of his training, he reported to his first command USS RHODE ISLAND (SSBN 740) in Kingsbay, Georgia, where he served as a Fire Control Technician. Master Chief Allen’s’ history of assignments includes USS GEORGIA (SSGN 729)(FTLPO); USS ALASKA (SSBN 732)(FTLCPO/WDEA); Trident Training Facility, Kingsbay(CODE 40 DEPT Chief); USS OHIO (SSGN 726) (WDEA) and he served as the Chief of the Boat on board USS KENTUCKY (SSBN 737).
Currently, he is serving as the Command Master Chief of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY BANGOR. He is a graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy and the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Capstone course in Newport, Rhode Island.
His personal awards include: Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (Two Awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four Awards) and various unit awards.
He and his wife Stacey reside in Bremerton Washington with their three sons Brayden, Lucas and Jacob.
