Production Facility and Equipment Management Division

Our mission is to provide, improve, and maintain facilities, piers, dry docks, and capital equipment to meet the needs of Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) operations. Effectively communicate the facility, utility and capital equipment needs of NNSY to service providers for support.

Production Engineering Division - is responsible for managing the planning, acquisitioning, maintenance, repair, minor construction, alteration, and demolition of shipyard land, buildings, dry docks, piers and berths. We ensure adequate, reliable utility services are available to support shipyard mission requirements, coordinate energy conservation programs, and provide guidance on all matters related to the shipyard’s energy management programs. We develop, manage, and execute annual budgets to support shipyard facility and utility.

CPP Shop Process Support Branch - is responsible for providing industrial engineering services and engineered processes to all departments. We determine requirements, develop specifications, and direct the installation and acceptance testing of all production resources plant equipment. This includes the development of capital equipment projects and the responsibility for generating all project documentation.

Waterfront Support Branch - is responsible for ensuring shipyard dry docks are managed, operated, certified, and maintained in accordance with established requirements. Participating actively in project development, documentation, design, design review, specification preparation, specification review and construction oversight for dry dock projects developed to support shipyard needs.
