Portsmouth Naval Shipyard employees visit NUWC Division Newport for tours, briefings

NEWPORT, R.I. - David Hart, head of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport’s Towed and Deployed Arrays Engineering Branch in the Sensors and Sonar Systems Department, shares information on various towed array systems during a tour with a submarine maintenance crew from Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine, on March 20, 2024. Thirty-two shipyard supervisors visited Division Newport for a weeklong team-building experience in preparation for maintenance and modernization during a dry-docking of the Virginia-class submarine USS Washington (SSN-787).
