WASHINGTON -- NAVSEA is participating in the U.S. Navy League's annual Sea-Air-Space (SAS) exposition is at the Gaylord National Convention Center located at National Harbor, Maryland, April 9-11. All attendees must register either on-site or at www.seaairspace.org.
The event brings together government, military and industry thought leaders to discuss issues such as innovation, education, readiness, technology and future service needs. Once again, NAVSEA program managers and flag officers will speak on major programs in the NAVSEA booth 1227 and participate in plenary panel sessions. NAVSEA will have a second booth in the Cherry Blossom room, CB124, which will feature representatives from NAVSEA's Human Resources and Contracting Directorates plus small business advocates.
“Sea-Air-Space Expo is a prime opportunity for recruiting efforts from among the expo attendees,” said Greg Dasher, NAVSEA Corporate Operations and Total Force Executive Director. “This is also a great chance for recently transitioned or transitioning military members to meet some of our hiring managers.”
Human resources representatives will be on hand to review resumes and make job offers to qualified applicants on the spot. NAVSEA is looking to hire a number of people in the following areas: engineers, program managers, program analysts, business financial managers, human resource specialists, cost researchers, contracting specialists, and safety occupational specialists.
Each day, the hiring managers in the CB124 booth will be focus on the following areas:
Monday, April 9 – Engineers
Tuesday, April 10 – Cost Researchers, Program Managers, Program Analysts, Business Financial Managers
Wednesday, April 11 – Human Resource Specialists, Contracting Specialist, Safety Occupational Specialists
The contracting and small business advocates are going to be on-hand to talk with representatives from small business and discuss the opportunities that exist within NAVSEA for small businesses.
