Jeromy S. Hudson was selected as a Senior Executive Service member in September 2024 and currently serves as the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Manager at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility, in Bremerton, Washington. He is the senior technical authority responsible for all aspects of the naval nuclear work conducted by PSNS & IMF, as well as its detachments in Everett and Bangor, Washington; San Diego, California; and Yokosuka, Japan.
Prior to his appointment, Hudson served as the Nuclear Refueling Division Head at PSNS & IMF, from August 2018 to August 2024. He was responsible for all aspects of refueling and defueling work as well as the maintenance and repair of the nuclear facilities and equipment necessary to accomplish it.
From November 2015 through August 2018, Hudson was assigned as the Nuclear Mechanical and Fluid Systems Division Head at PSNS & IMF. In this role, he was responsible for managing and directing all aspects of nuclear mechanical and fluid system work associated with the repair, overhaul and alternation of the nuclear-powered submarines and surface ships.
From June 2013 to October 2015, Hudson was assigned as the Head Nuclear Engineering and Planning Manager for the PSNS & IMF Yokosuka Detachment. In this position, he was responsible for managing all aspects of nuclear work accomplished on the forward-deployed aircraft carrier. This included ensuring that shore-based facilities, as well as agreements with the local community and the naval base tenant commands, were in place to support the critical maintenance needs of the forward-deployed nuclear aircraft carrier.
Hudson has more than 24 years of civilian service, starting as an engineering intern at PSNS & IMF, in May 2001. He graduated from Montana State University “MSU” with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in December 2002. While in college, he was a member of the MSU Track and Field team and was recognized for both athletic performance and academic achievements during his tenure as a student athlete.
