Two NUWC Division Newport teams win Program Executive Office Excellence Awards
Leif Manley (from left) and Jake Brown, engineers in the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport Undersea Warfare Combat Systems Department, who comprised the two-person Tactical Navigation team, won a Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems Excellence Award for the first quarter of fiscal year 2022. The team participated in two test events in support of PEO IWS objectives, resulting in a decrease in planning and installation time and at least $300,000 in cost avoidance per event.
