During the visit, Owens and Cramer met with senior leadership from PHNSY & IMF to assess progress on the Navy’s Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program and tour the shipyard’s dry dock areas that will be modernized beginning in 2023. Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) held a groundbreaking for its new production training facility July 1, which will consolidate training currently spread across 26 different NNSY locations and eight departments into a single 157,000 square-foot, $64.7 million dollar facility. Bldg. 2 Ribbon Cutting

KITTERY, ME. March 30, 2022, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard cut the ribbon March 30 at Building 2, one of the oldest facilities at the shipyard (circa 1864), after completing major renovations.
