Division Newport engineer has diverse roles in service to his country
Jose Barbosa (right), head of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport Electro-optic System Branch, also serves his country as a major in the R.I. Air National Guard. In 2009, Barbosa deployed to Kirkuk Regional Air Base in Kirkuk, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
