NUWC Newport’s Technical Director spends his downtime putting out fires
Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport's Technical Director Ronald Vien at the scene of the largest fire that he has ever helped extinguish as an on-call firefighter in Westport, Mass. Firefighters battled this July 2016 fire for 10 hours with water provided by tankers from eight surrounding towns.
