During the visit, Owens and Cramer met with senior leadership from PHNSY & IMF to assess progress on the Navy’s Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program and tour the shipyard’s dry dock areas that will be modernized beginning in 2023. NSBE Professional Member of the Year

RICHMOND, Va. - Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) engineer Serita Seright, 2nd from left, takes a break with FIRST LEGO League (FLL) mentors and coaches of a student team called the “Robot Engineers" after an FLL competition. The community-based team comprises students, ages 9 to 14, from various schools in the metro-Richmond area. The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) honored Seright in 2016 with its Region II "Professionals Member of the Year" award for her leadership impacting its mission in Virginia at its 42nd National Convention, NSWCDD announced, May 16.
