WEST BETHESDA, Md. - A SeaGlide, or small-scale underwater glider – built by Virginia Commonwealth Governor’s School student Alex Dachos in an independent course of study – is a non-tethered, autonomous robot that helps collect data through sensors. Dachos programmed, built, and demonstrated the SeaGlide under the guidance of Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division science, technology, engineering and mathematics mentors.
