NSWC PCD’s technical capabilities support the warfighter at BALTOPS 2024

An MH-60S Seahawk helicopter configured with the Airborne Mine Neutralization System (AMNS) conducts a mine countermeasure exercise during the 2024 Baltic Operations Exercise. During the exercise, two Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division technical capabilities were demonstrated: A significant mine countermeasure operation was carried out, involving an MH-60S helicopter equipped with the AMNS system to combat moored mines, and the innovative Common Undersea Visualization and Exploitation Tool capability granted fleet users enhanced situational awareness for better strategic decision-making. Evans assumes command of NAVSEA Warfare Centers

WASHINGTON -- Rear Adm. Todd M. Evans salutes Rear Adm. Thomas J. Dickinson as he assumes command during the Naval Sea Systems Command Warfare Centers change of command, held June 24 at the Washington Navy Yard.  

Vice Adm. Jim Downey, commander, Naval Sea Systems Command (center) presided over the ceremony. 

The NAVSEA Warfare Centers execute research, development, test and evaluation efforts for the future Navy as well as provide in-service engineering and logistics support for the operational surface and submarine forces.
