With Grant in Hand, Local Robotics Students and Their NSWC PHD Mentors Await Word on How This Year’s FIRST Robotics School Competitions Will Take Place

Much like this year’s recent disbursement, the grant money went to local students for participation in the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) Robotics competitions. The two students flanking Brahosky also participated in NSWC PHD’s Pre-Engineering Program.

Prestigious Association of Old Crows Taps Armen Kvryan to Speak at Recent Event

Transhield, Inc., through a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD), manufactures these protective covers designed to shield Navy combat weapon systems from external scrutiny and protect the equipment from corrosion.
PHD’s materials subject matter expert Armen Kvryan presented on the covers and the agreement to cooperatively develop them by invitation at the revered Association of Old Crows Electromagnetic Spectrum) Summit, held virtually May 19 and 20. The Alexandria, Va.-based association specializes in electromagnetic warfare, and attracts experts from across the military branches, private industry and academia to its international symposiums, professional development courses, publications, nearly 70 regional chapters and conferences.
