NAVSEA Program Executive Officer Commends NSWCPD Engineer for Cost Effective Quick Fix

Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) In-Service Engineer Dan Lin received a Bravo Zulu from Rear Adm. Casey Moton in Dec. of last year after finding a low-cost, short-term solution to a waterjet problem on many Navy ships. As part of NSWCPD’s Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration, Dr. Michael Colón, a computer scientist at the Center for High Assurance Computer Systems at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, gives virtual presentation on Dec. 1, 2020. Colón highlighted the importance of integrating science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) among Hispanics in middle schools and answered questions from the audience after the presentation.
