PSNS & IMF Increases Production of Protective Face Masks, Partners with NBK Community

Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility leadership and union partners handed out reusable, cloth face masks to all shipyard employees entering the Controlled Industrial Area this morning.

The masks were made by fabric workers in the PSNS & IMF Sail Loft, along with volunteers from other shops, codes, and Sailors from Naval Base Kitsap, USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), USS Olympia (SSN-717) and USS Louisville (SSN-724). The goal is to ensure every employee is issued three of the masks. So far, 20,000 masks have been produced.
