NSWCDD Dam Neck Activity Personnel Highlight their Japanese and Filipino Heritage

(May 9, 2018) - Employees of Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Dam Neck Activity gave presentations on their heritage in Japan and the Philippines during the command's Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebration. Pictured from left to right: Martial artist Jonathan Armstrong, Filipino-American presenter Pert Asiatico, and Japanese-American presenter Katherine Johnson with Marcus Matthews and Roberto Garcia of the NSWCDD Dam Neck Activity Diversity Committee. Johnson and Asiatico spoke on the rich cultural heritages of Japan and the Philippines, which they have experienced first-hand. Filipino food was enjoyed by many after the presentations.

NSWC Dahlgren Division Personnel Honored for Global and Fleet Impact at Annual Awards Ceremony

IMAGE: Denise Bagnall is presented the John Adolphus Dahlgren Award at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division's annual awards ceremony, Apr. 26 at the Fredericksburg Expo and Conference Center.

The Dahlgren Award is named for Rear Adm. John A. Dahlgren – who is considered the "Father of Modern Naval Ordnance" - and honors individuals with significant achievement in science, engineering or management.
