In addition to core engineering disciplines – mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering – this year's graduates earned degrees in diverse fields such as defense and strategic studies, computational sciences and informatics, cybersecurity, engineering psychology, human resource management, accounting, and aerospace engineering, and leadership studies.

(Sept. 11, 2018) – Senior Chief Fire Controlman Jeremy Brown (ret.) and U.S. Navy Ensign Dillard Patton moments after Brown rendered the first enlisted salute to Patton who then returned the salute at his commissioning ceremony held at the Aegis Training and Readiness Center. In accordance with tradition, Patton - an NSWCDD System Safety Engineering Division civilian engineer - presented a brand new silver dollar to Brown as the first enlisted service member who saluted him.

Craig Morton has been in the Contract Management Office at the detachment at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & intermediate Maintenance Facility’s Everett Detachment for two years after transferring from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District, where he was a hydro-electric machinery mechanic for over ten years. Morton also served in the Navy for 20 years.
