VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.  (May 18, 2017) - Bobby Starks is awarded a certificate of retirement from federal service by Cmdr. Andrew J. Hoffman, Commanding Officer of Combat Direction Systems Activity Dam Neck. Starks retired after more than 34 years as a Navy civilian.

DAHLGREN, Va. (May 17, 2017) - Kathleen Jones holds a framed certificate moments after receiving the Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Annual Honor Awards ceremony. Jones was recognized for outstanding, significant, and substantial technical contributions to the Navy in Radar Systems. "Ms. Jones has demonstrated exemplary leadership in expanding her Division's portfolio and developing technically sound leaders to tackle current and future Naval radar challenges," according to the citation, adding that she, "established a culture where mentoring, collaboration, and teambuilding are the norm for developing innovative solutions to novel challenges introduced through the ever-evolving threat."
