NSWCPD and Temple Continue STEM Summer Camps Virtually

PHILADELPHIA (29 July 2019) Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) Commanding Officer Capt. Dana Simon welcomes middle and high school students participating in Temple University’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) summer camps on July 29, 2019. This year, the summer camps were entirely virtual and provided students with more digitally-focused engineering and learning experiences. Women of Color Magazine Honors NSWC Dahlgren Engineer with Technology Award

(July 2, 2020) – Hattie Webb is awarded the 2020 Women of Color Technology All Star Award for her lasting impact across the Tomahawk Program, Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), and the local community. At NSWCDD she serves as the senior systems engineer for the Tomahawk Missile Program in the Strike Weapons Systems Division and as a group leader who mentors young scientists and engineers. “I look forward to coming to work every day to mentor and guide others,” said  Webb, “We work as a team to provide quality products to the fleet.”

NSWCPD Takes STEM Programs Virtual

High School Student Builds Autonomous Underwater Robot via NSWC Dahlgren Division’s SeaGlide Program

Dachos programmed, built, and demonstrated the SeaGlide independently under the guidance of NSWCDD science, technology, engineering and mathematics mentors.
