Sailors receive training on securing a wing kit on a Quickstrike Extended Range mine as part of Underwater Mine Personnel Qualification Standard Working Group held at Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division, in the summer of 2025. Once deployed from the platform, the wings pop-out and provide significant extended range versus traditional air-drop mines upgrading its precision and efficacy.

Hosted by the American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE) in Philadelphia from Aug. 26-28, 2025, the Intelligent Ships Symposium (ISS) drew over 150 participants from across the U.S. and abroad—including presence from as far as South Korea—alongside more than 25 exhibitors showcasing advances in shipboard automation, artificial intelligence, digital engineering, power and propulsion, cybersecurity, and condition-based maintenance.
