Naval Aviation Hits Historic Milestone

Lt. Drew Kocher and Lt. Cmdr. Brad Williams, both assigned to the "Fighting Swordsman" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 32, landed on Naval Air Station Key West's Boca Chica Field after completing Tactical Combat Training System's 100,000th pod-tracked sortie since the system began tracking using GPS technology in 2006.

Through the Naval Innovative Science and Engineering (NISE) program, Yeh and Lunt are developing a low-cost, lightweight weapons impact scoring system (WISS), utilizing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), for use in remote locations or at sea.
