Future USNS Carson City (EPF 7) Completes Acceptance Trials

160525 (May 25, 2016) GULF OF MEXICO - The future USNS Carson City (EPF 7) successfully completed its builder's acceptance trials during an underway period in the Gulf of Mexico, May 25-26. Expeditionary Fast Transport class ships (EPFs) are versatile, non-combatant, transport ships that will be used for high-speed mobility and transportation of troops, military vehicles, and equipment in support of a wide variety of missions. Future USS Delbert D. Black (DDG 119) Keel Authenticated

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (June 1, 2016) - Mrs. Ima Black places her initials onto the keel plate of DDG 119 during the ceremony authenticating the keel of the future USS Delbert D. Black. The destroyer was named in honor of Black’s late husband Delbert Black, the first Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy. The Flight IIA Arleigh Burke class ship will serve as an integral player in global maritime security, engaging in air, undersea, surface, strike and ballistic missile defense.
