Wave of the Future: NSWC Dahlgren Interns Develop Their Craft in the Future Systems Software Development Branch

Lower mentors STEM-Student Employment Program (SSEP) interns at the command's Future Systems Software Development Branch. Charney interned with the branch while on breaks from college. Now he's a full-time NSWCDD scientist, thanks to what he calls a "seamless transition" after graduation. "I had no idea that I could have worked here before I graduated," said Lower. NSWC Dahlgren Software Team Recognized with Award for Impact on Laser Systems

Six members of the Government Furnished Equipment Agnostic Software Team pose for a photo. The 20 member team received the Award of Merit for Group Achievement for their work to deliver quality software products for use in laser weapon systems. NSWC Crane leads first virtual rapid-prototyping event to provide solutions to warfighters

NSWC Crane led its first virtual Warfighter Driven Challenge (WDC) event to provide rapid prototype solutions for sailors and marines on August 10-14. This WDC was part of a larger Naval Research and Development Enterprise (NR&DE) Novel Modernization effort focusing on finding innovative approaches to solve future operational problems.

PHILADELPHIA (29 July 2019) Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) Commanding Officer Capt. Dana Simon welcomes middle and high school students participating in Temple University’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) summer camps on July 29, 2019. This year, the summer camps were entirely virtual and provided students with more digitally-focused engineering and learning experiences.
