The amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) approaches the starboard side of the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) for replenishment at sea, June 5, 2017. Bonhomme Richard is the lead ship of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (BHRARG), comprised of USS Green Bay (LPD 20), USS Ashland (LSD 48) and embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU), assigned to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.

NSWCPD’s HAMSTER Hammers Home Accuracy and Efficiencies

(July 2019) Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) developed the Hammer Activated Measurement System for Testing and Evaluating Rubber (HAMSTER) to determine the condition of the interface bond between a coating and the hull. NSWCPD Utilizes War Games to Connect with the Warfighter

(5 March 2020) Participants of a Power and Energy focused war game hosted by Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Dam Neck Activity. The game was developed by Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) engineers with support from NSWCDD, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Newport Division, Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and Naval Warfare Development Command (NWDC). The game featured warfighters from Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) in Norfolk and San Diego, United States Marine Corps (USMC), and the Navy Reserve community.
