NSWCPD and Rowan University Continue Third Year of Naval Engineering Education Consortium (NEEC) Research

PHILADELPHIA – Rowan University students and faculty toured Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) test sites and labs on Oct. 24 during a kick-off for the third year of a Naval Engineering Education Consortium (NEEC) research grant. During the tour, NSWCPD’s Applied Superconductivity team leader and a Rowan alumnus, Dr. Jacob Kephart (center), highlighted the Command’s High Temperature Superconducting lab which conducts similar research to Rowan’s project. High School Students Complete Summer Internships at NSWCPD

PHILADELPHIA (August 7, 2019) High school students working at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) completed their eight-week summer internships by presenting their research projects to the Command’s engineers. Every year, NSWCPD partners with the Office of Naval Research (ONR) Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP) to provide high school students an opportunity to participate in research while being mentored by professional scientists and engineers. NSWCPD hosts Temple STEM Summer Camp Tours and Talks
