(Sept. 20, 2019) – One of 7,000 fifth-graders from Chesapeake and Virginia Beach elementary schools touches a static electricity demonstration causing her hair to standup at Naval Air Station Oceana’s fourth annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Lab. The event broke the Guinness World Record for the largest field trip on record. Local Students Show Off STEM Skills at Regional SeaPerch Competition

On Saturday, April 7, 2018, area students competed in a Regional SeaPerch Competition held at North Daviess High School. The Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) team at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) organized the competition, and many NSWC Crane employees served as coaches and volunteers for the event.

Hoosier Teams Score Big at National SeaPerch Challenge
