NSWC Dahlgren Division Engineers Develop Decision Aid for High Energy Laser Fire Control

IMAGE: DAHLGREN, Va. (Sept. 6,  2019) - Theresa Gennaro, Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) senior lead scientist for directed energy programs, briefs Rear Adm. Eugene 'Gene' Black, Surface Warfare Division director at the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations - on the Navy's high energy laser technological programs - including ODIN. The admiral was also updated on HELIOS -- High Energy Laser with Integrated Optical-Dazzler and Surveillance - during his NSWCDD tour. Gennaro was among the command's technical leaders and subject matter experts who briefed the admiral on a wide range of technologies encompassing modeling and simulation; guns and guided projectiles; Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense Anti-Submarine Warfare; and virtualization.
