Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) leadership honored eight personnel from the NSWC IHD Systems Engineering Department and Expeditionary Exploitation Unit One with Department of the Navy Civilian Service Commendation Medals at an awards presentation at the command, July 19. EXU-1 Conducts Maritime Post-Blast Investigation Course

NAVAIR Recognizes NSWC IHD CAD/PAD JPO Team for Unprecedented Response

NAVAIR Commander, Vice Admiral Carl Chebi (left) presented thee Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division Cartridge and Propellant Actuated Device (CAD/PAD) Joint Program Office (JPO) with the Naval Air Systems Command Commander’s Award for Availability during a ceremony at the Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Lexington Park, Maryland, May 31. CAD/PAD JPO Director Gregory Longworth (center) and JPO Navy Deputy Program Manager Jason Caron (right) received the award on behalf of the team of engineers, technicians, logisticians, analysts, handlers, drivers and radiographers from across the command who were responsible for the prestigious award.

EXU-1 Participates in EODTEU-2 U.S. Navy CrabEx

Personnel attached to Expeditionary Exploitation Unit One (EXU-1) prepares material recovered during the U.S. Navy’s Crab Exercise (CrabEx) for forensic photography. CrabEx is an annual training exercise requiring explosive ordnance disposal units to clear a range of simulated explosive threats during full mission profile drills using special operations mobility tactics and advanced technologies.
